Winnemucca Domestic Violence Services offers free services to those experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault in Humboldt County, NV. We connect individuals and families with essential resources to help them restore safety and start rebuilding their lives. Survivors are able to access support, housing options, counseling, legal referrals, safety plan and much more. Our highly trained advocates can be with you every step of the way. All client participation is confidential.

WDVS Services

24/7 Advocate Hotline 1 (775) 421-1028

WDVS operates a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week hotline to support survivors in Humboldt County Nevada with crisis advocacy.  The hotline can be accessed by both voice and TTY-assistive devices for the hearing impaired. Caller ID information is not monitored, allowing callers to maintain their anonymity if they wish.

Advocates contacted via the 24/7 Hotline will work with the survivor of domestic violence from the initial point of contact and can help with finding safety, securing shelter, emergency planning, issues of crisis prevention, domestic violence education, goal setting, and much more. All services are free and confidential.

We realize that every person's situation is unique. Your advocate will work with you on a plan that fits your needs and moves at a pace you are comfortable with. WDVS will never force you to do anything. 

Housing

WDVS offers several different housing plans for those in need of shelter. All shelter locations are confidential. While in WDVS housing clients are able to focus on healing, their future, and becoming self sufficient. 


  • Emergency Shelter 
  • Short Term Housing
  • Standard Temporary Housing 
  • Optional Extended Housing Program 

All housing is based on availability and grant funding. Please talk with an advocate to find out which program may be right for you.
